I was in Berlin in 1958 and after 10 years of schooling I learned to become a pig breeder. Through vocational training 1974 to 1977 I gained a Highschool diploma. Then from 1977 to 1982 studied veterinary medicine at the Humboldt University Berlin. I took a job at the Impfstoffwerk Dessau in 1983 and became a Doctor of Veterinary medicine. From 1982 to 2020 I had my own veterinary practice specialising in small animals (Cats, Dogs, Rabbits and Mice etc). Then from 2020 until today am an assistant Dr in a Veterinary practice, and am pow a pensioner

My husband and I had always kept fish, but without wanting to breed, but after my daughter Anne began to pursue the matter seriously, I joined in. Armoured catfish had always been very interesting, probably because of their googly eyes. I then bred several different species, including H. habrosus, H. loxozonus, C. cervinus, H. eversi, CW010, CW121, CW115, Aspidoras sp. CW052 and an unknown species.

I was able to get a Brochis species about 10 years ago and wanted to follow on and breed them. I looked at literature and tried to implement unique things from it. This worked with the CW132, CW178 and the Brochis multiradiata.

My favourite species is Brochis britskii
