Egg hatching & Fry raising

Egg hatching & Fry raising

There are several methods to successfully hatch and raise Corydoradinae fry. Here I will just show the equipment and techniques that I use and the my feeding regime.

Egg size varies from species to species. Corydoras species tend to produce the smallest eggs, averaging at around 1 mm in diameter, Gastrodermus are also small. Osteogaster and Hoplisoma are some of the largest with eggs of up to 2.0 mm diameter being produced. One of the largest I have seen to date come from Hoplisoma weitzmani at 2.2 mm diameter.
