It is true to say that there are a number Cory species that need no more than a simple water change to set them of into a breeding frenzy. However, there are many that require far more intricate and precise measures to get them into spawning mode. There are also a number that defy all attempts to coax them into breeding. So here I will provide the many methods I have used along with those from fellow Cory breeders, the first concerns the species that are known from regions where there are known water temperature fluctuations due to snow melt and or cooler rain fall.
Many species respond to this following method of inducement, but not all, in fact there are probably more species that will not respond and in some cases it may even be detrimental to their well being.
Over time I will add other spawning triggers.
